Baby Steps and Bad Replacements
Are you trying to tackle a mountain?
Or trying to accomplish something so big that it seems impossible?
For getting in the mindset to tackle something big Brian Tracy always asks, “How do you eat an elephant?” The answer is one bite at a time.
I watched a tennis anime called baby steps. In summary, it was about a boy who couldn’t play tennis, but was fascinated about the mechanics behind it. He learned to perfect basic methods little by little, becoming the best he could be. In his notebook a friend wrote,”Baby steps to giant strides”.
When accomplishing the goals we have we need to be ok with taking baby steps. As we work towards we have to be careful to develop good habits for progress.
Any known hindrances or blockages you may be holding onto will need to be replaced with small steps that will continuously move you forward.
Think of smoking, it’s hard to just say, “this is my last one”. That negative whole will need to be replace with maybe a positive baby step, like nicotine gum.
