Don’t Miss It
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. - Isaiah 55:8-9
“It’s easy to miss something you’re not looking for”
We have a lot of ideas and we want God to do so much for us, but I think we have this idea that what we want will come the way we want it. We expect to get the things we want exactly the way we want it, so we are looking for our answers from where we expect them to come from.
But what if God wants to teach us something? What if He feels that things will be better if the answer comes from the left when we think it will definitely come from the right. And think, if we only look in the directions of our “feels”, then we most definitely will miss something big.
“It’s easy to miss something you’re not looking for”
Think about the Christmas story, Scripture fore told about a conquering King, and a baby was born. This King was to come in triumphantly, Jesus rode a donkey.
“It’s easy to miss something you’re not looking for”
Distractions happen easily to us because we are not focused on what we are supposed to be doing.
Have you ever said “I got a minute of free time, let me see what’s happening on social media” and then an hour later you are scrambling to make up the time you lost?
Distraction is a tactic used to slip something by you, usually something important. The definition of distraction is: a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else. Another definition says:
Distraction is the process of diverting the attention of an individual or group from a desired area of focus and thereby blocking or diminishing the reception of desired information
Remember, “It’s easy to miss something you’re not looking for”, Even if you are looking for it, but in the wrong place, or just not paying attention.
