“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Proverbs 16:9 NIV
We are starting to shift our thinking from our goals being tasks that need to happen, to projects that will get done. Projects have a defined beginning and end. Tasks are done when they get done.
The start of a project’s pre-planning period is to gather information and materials, and also develop a time line for each step.
In this step it is good to do a brain dump of everything you need. Every task, to do list, note that you can come up with.
Next decide what will make your project successful. What does the end goals look like?
What does this project do after completion?
Relate all the things written from the brain dump to the true needs of the project. You may find that you have a lot of extra baggage, but we are going to use the more important things now.
