Grow-Giving Principle 1
As I was saying last week, we are going to start his year off a little differently. I wanted us to first focus on our own determination for our success, (our goals and our word), and now lay out a foundation for that success:
Giving.
I want everyone to get “the go giver” when you get the chance. It’s a short story where the main character has a heart change from go getting, (crushing anything and anyone who gets in the way of his success), to true success, being a solution through the enjoyment of helping others.
1 condition the main character had to fulfill is when he learned a law, he had to implement that law that day. So, when you hear the law, more than likely you’ll be presented the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned, and it will elevate you that much closer to your success!
Law 1: The law of value
Your true worth is determined by how much more give in value than you take in payment.
Your business or the job you do is a solution.
Out of love for your the solution you possess you are rewarded with a paycheck.
The more you help people (giving value), the more people will give for that value your giving to them.
Look at all the people you consider successful.
Are they giving value?
Are the solutions they provide serving many people?
How can you increase your value? (Hint: serve more people)

Eisenhower Matrix Applied To Our Goals
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:33-34 NIV
Prioritize your top ten goals!
Assign 2 values in 2 categories, 1-10
How important is it to you? 1-10
How Urgent is it to you? 1-10
4-D Quadrant
DO - Must be done by you, as soon as possible
Decide - Can be scheduled for later
Delegate - Let someone else handle it for you
Delete - Not necessary, may not even get done, and nothing changes because of it. No impact.

One Word, top ten, and if only statements working together!

One Word, top ten, and if only statement
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Proverbs 16:9 NIV
Your One Word encompasses your spirit and fortitude for this year and describes you and outlook on things. A good word would be “Driven”
Your top ten will be the list the things you want to accomplish this year. As you mark one off, replace it with something else. Make it positive and measurable, so you’ll know when you’ve achieved it.
Vague: “I want to lose weight this year.”
Measurable: “I will lose 5lbs this month.”
If only statements will take that goal and provide you something that will help you achieve it.
“I can lose 5 lbs this month, if only I had a meal plan. I am driven to get this done.“
What do we need? A meal plan. Now we know what we need, and what it is we need to look for to help us.

Persistent

The word for this year: persistent
Persistent: continuing firmly or obstinately in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Keep moving forward, be persistent because
“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Luke 11:10 NIV
Believe this: The one who gives you that awesome vision of yours, also gives you the power, personnel, and resources to make it happen.

Move Your Feet!
There is an old African proverb that had a saying, “when you pray, move your feet.”
Yes there is a time to be still.
You need to be still to hear, prayer is the TWO way communication between you and God.
But there will be a time to act.
God will be requiring you to stretch your faith by being a “doer, not just a hearer”
The scripture says that faith without works is dead.
It does not do you any good to see fire, hear the alarm, and still sit there and pray. You have all things happening for a reason, your success.
I’m 1,000% sure that God does not want you to just be, He wants to move, and you to move with Him. On the flip side, I’m also 1,000 % sure that if you don’t move, you’ll stay right where you are.
So when you pray, move your feet!

The Litmus Test
We all have plans and ambitions, AND God Himself has plans for you too... (Jeremiah 29:11)
Have you ever wondered, are my plans lining up with His? Could you unconsciously working out a plan that will take you down a path to destruction? I believe many of us aren’t financially free because we build our own grave instead of a legacy.
But anyway.
As we head into the new year, and start to develop our vision and plans, pray.
The litmus test:
Hold it up to the light! Hold it up through prayer. Actually examine it with prayer lenses.
Remember, prayer changes things, or better yet you for things.
Pray that it is right. For if it is not right, it is wrong. And nothing that is wrong hardly ever turns out right. - Power of Positive Imaging

Prayer Changes Things
We all want changes. When we pray, the Lord will change people inside the situation and out. And the changed people will change the situation!
Prayer doesn’t necessarily change things for you, what it does is change you for things so you can deal with whatever takes place.

Your Presence Is Your Present
I know it’s an old cliche, but it’s truth, you fully being there in the moment is truly a gift.
Have you ever had a conversation with someone who is on the phone, distracted by social media, or texting someone else. They may be right there, but in conversation you may be alone. That’s not a good feeling. Actually may be a withdrawal from our emotional bank accounts.
During this time of the year, We spend time with friends and family, getting together, spending quality time with them. Let’s be intentional and try to be mindful of our own presence when we are interacting with the people we visit with.
Make it a game, try to find something interesting in what people are saying to you. Find the little nuggets of information that could be the key to your next level. I can almost guarantee that someone will have something for you if you are looking for it. You have to be “in the now” to find it.
One more thought, build your story. Listen to the stories being told, discover how funny, courageous, or awe inspiring the people you know can be. How much wisdom sits around your table, and how lucky you are to know know such wonderful people.
Sometimes you have to dig, but know something is there for you if you really try.
